MediaSift is a proud European, in fact British technology startup, based in Reading, UK. For the past 3 years we have been building social media tools and platforms which are leading the expansion of the real time social web.

MediaSift was a recent finalist at Techcrunch Disrupt, and was recently voted one of the Top 10 European Startups to watch in 2011. We try and keep a low profile, and focus on delivering timely products to market.

In late 2007, Nick Halstead setup a new company focusing on delivering filtered news to the masses. Nick was one of the first to declare RSS dead as a consumer experience and has focused his efforts on building products that deliver the right news to the right person. In early 2008 the company launched TweetMeme and is now focused upon its next generation platform, DataSift.

Nick has been in development for 20 years, 15 of which was in the highly competitive games industry. He has a passion for all things technical and is still responsible for the development team at MediaSift, speaking regularly at conferences and been over all mastermind behind the architecture of DataSift.
