How Young and Restless Entrepreneurs Really Are
When we say entrepreneur, we automatically think of a 20 year old computer geek, working out of his parents’ garage, having nothing to lose except his allowance. Surprisingly, statistics disagree with us. On Dharmesh Shah’s blog, I found some amazing facts about entrepreneurs:
- Most founders started their first business when they were 40.
- 70% of them were married and 60% had at least one child when they launched their first business
- 95% had a bachelor’s degree (There goes the myth about dropouts’ success)
- 75% worked as employees for more than 6 years prior to starting their own company.
